  7. NeXT announces the availability of the updated Adaptec 154x
  8. driver.  This update 1 of the Adaptec 154x series SCSI adapter
  9. device driver lets you take advantage of the following SCSI
  10. adapters:

  19. Adaptec        1740 EISAin standard 154x mode only
  20. Adaptec        1742 EISAin standard 154x mode only
  21. Bus Logic       542B ISA
  22. Bus Logic       747S EISA
  23. Bus Logic       445S VL-Bus

  25. The updated driver now lets you use a hard disk larger than 1
  26. gigabyte as a startup disk, if your SCSI adapter features extended
  27. BIOS translation (previously, this was only possible with the
  28. Adaptec 154xC adapter).
  29.  
  30. The updated driver also improves support for the Adaptec 154xC and
  31. 154xCF adapters, particularly in cases where these adapters
  32. weren't always detected when starting up the computer.
